Related to "lectures at home, homework at school," it's not that hard to make tests a web-based experience that's more-or-less cheat proof. This also opens up the idea of online certificates for course credit like the Mozilla Badges project http://goo.gl/BMW4N
Cutting edge science and creative work is not far from the sandbox. Curricula at all levels can be informed by and inform cutting edge research, and the internet can be a conduit for communication between University and corporate research and schools. We might be surprised by what we learn from younger students.

Right now there are lots of useful sites but little reliable guidance for educators and students regarding which are the best. We need a reliable, stable web presence that reviews and ranks online materials for learning.
Courses for virtually every class should be online FIRST and remain available forever. This way students and teachers can always return to their materials, and the crucial step of organizing a course or class can take place in a collaborative environment--the Internet
