Our company is thinking of holding a weekly educational lottery where students who perform well with our online software will be entered into a drawing to win $100. Students would work through several educational tasks until they master each task. At that point their name would be put in a database and a student name would be drawn at random. We would not collect students' email addresses. Rather, we would mail the check to their school to be given to the student by the teacher (as an incentive to encourage other students).
We would appreciate comments and suggestions about the pros and cons of this idea.
