Use the huge libraries of public domain, grade appropriate books to make sure that every student has books he or she is able to read.
With all of the pushes to use data and the now endlessly diverse sources through which schools are generating data, all schools need a spreadsheet-style platform that will allow them to use and organize a large variety of information about students. GPA, SAT, state tests, AIMSweb, local benchmark assessments, etc. It's not going to work if we continually need to use so many sites to see the data.
We need to figure out how to leverage our outstanding research infrastructure for applications across the K-20(and beyond) curriculum. The "Silent Stimulus" includes high speed networks and high performance computing resources developed and owned by the national higher education community.
A location for teachers to view lessons implemented in a classroom. The lessons would be based on best-practices and research based. Each lesson would include a video of a teacher implementing the lesson.
